Conservative candidate Mike Penning has thanked the people of the Hemel Hempstead constituency for electing him for the fourth time to serve as their Member of Parliament.
Mike won the seat with 28,735 votes – 55% of the votes cast.
Speaking this morning, Mike said:
“It is very humbling and a great honour to have been elected with such a large share of the vote.
“I vow to continue to work for all the people of the constituency and serve the people of this area.
“We are very lucky to live in a free and democratic country and with all the things that have happened in the last few weeks it is good to see our democracy in action.
“I thank everyone who voted for me, the people who helped in my campaign and the council staff who helped run the election and election count so efficiently.”
